SPRING START, FRESH START

Spring has always been one of favourite seasons, I love the fact it's not super-duper hot but at the same time it's not freezing cold. But the weather isn't the only thing good about spring, the fashion that comes along with it is a bonus! Most people head straight for floral when it comes to spring, and as good as floral looks, it's not always the way too go.

Mdi skirts are currently my favourite spring item, I love how flowy and effortless they look, and they can be pulled off with many items, ranging from a crop top to a sleeveless button up. I can't wait to wear my midi black skirt with a baby pink crop top!

I also LOVE leopard print loafers for spring, I think it adds a twist to spring itself since people usually go for the floral print and not something else daring, like leopard print. Styling leopard print with denim is a match made in heaven and I can defiantly see myself rocking those two this spring!

Hats. Floppy hats to be precise. These days, I've been seeing a lot of people rocking floppy hats and I honestly envy them because I find that floppy hats look rubbish on me! If you're planning on purchasing a floppy hat, I highly recommend that you first try it on in person before buying one online because you may not like the way it looks on you. I don't know whether it's because every hat I've tried on hasn't been the right one for my face shape or something else, but I'm still on the hunt for the perfect floppy hat that is my style and suits my face shape, fingers crossed I find one!

That's all for this week! Make sure you follow me through bloglovin', which you can find on the sidebar and let me know in the comments below on what your looking forward to most this spring, or whatever the whether is where you are!

ROOM TOUR AKA MY HABITAT

My room is where I spend more than eighty-percent of my time, it's basically my habitat (I'm not a hermit, I swear!) My room is, generally speaking, very crème/ivory based, I find light colours tend to add more softness and make the room seem more comfortable. So, I decided to take a few shots of my room and show you guys some of my favourite bits!

I'll start off with my favourite thing in my room; my book lovers sign. I have sign on my side table, which reads "BOOK LOVERS NEVER GO TO BED..... ALONE", which basically means that book lovers always read something before they go to bed. This sign really represents me since I'm a massive book lover, the only thing I have more than books is clothes, so you probably have an idea of the ridiculous amount of books I have.

I also keep four to five pairs of earrings and nail polishes on my side table at all times, since I like wearing a different pair of earrings everyday and if my nail polishes are closer to me, then I'm more likely to put them on.

If my hair is not tied back or clipped up, it usually has a headband in it; in fact I tend to wear headbands more than I tie my hair up since it's easy to slip on and it keeps my hair back at the same time, and let's not forget, it looks fashionable!

On the door of my walk-in closet, there are multiple magazine clip-outs. This is not only my inspiration board but something I tend to do when I have a lot on my mind and I don't really know where to start, so I just cut things I like, out of magazines and stick them onto my closet door. This somehow manages to calm me down and help me collect my thoughts.

And that's basically my room! If you liked this post, make sure to let me know so that I can make more like this. Let me know in the comments below on your favourite in thing (or things) in your room, I'd love to hear about it!

DOUBLE THE DENIM

Top | ZARA Jeans | ZARA Jacket | Cotton On Bag | Colette Hayman Boots | Sports Girl Sunglasses | Burberry

Denim and leather are two well-known pieces that stay in season all year around, and doubling leather up isn't considered to much of a risky trend but when the same is said about denim, opinions change. Double denim is a risky trend to try, which is why I decided to give it a go and wear denim on denim. I paired my denim jacket and denim jeans with a light, pearl collared blouse from ZARA, to add contrast, the pattern on the blouse also adds character and makes the whole outfit look well-put together. I hope you guys can collect some sort of inspiration through this outfit and don't forget to tell me, how would you style the double denim trend?

THE BLOOD OF THY ENEMIES

Red nail polishes | Maybelline, Revlon, Maybelline and L'Oreal | Pink nail polish | Natio | Blue and purple nail polishes | Covergirl LOL and Covergirl

Nail polish has always been one of those things that tends to make me feel fabulous, I don't know why but it does. The colour that I love and wear, by far, the most would have to be different shades of the colour, red. I find red a very powerful and captivating colour, and I know some people may not agree and say that black is the most powerful and the most 'like a boss' kind of shade but to me red has always been the one to go too. Like they say when in distress, go to red (they do say that, right?)

If I want to feel 'feminine' and not badass then I usually resort to my trusty ol' pink, I find pink nail polish is one of those colours that makes you feel fabulous but at the same time it adds vulnerability to you. You could say, it's the Virgin Mary of all nail polishes.

Colours like midnight blue, metallic purple and light, cool blue are also some of my favourites. I love the mysterious look both, midnight blue and metallic purple give, it makes a lady look like as if she's some sort of puzzle with many pieces, yet to be found. For me, light blue gives the complete opposite effect that midnight blue gives; it's more of a fun and playful colour, one that I only tend to wear during holidays, because lets face it, no one likes cheery colours on a sad school day.

As you can probably tell, I really think about the nail polish colour I apply, so next time you see my nail polish colour, you'll be able to tell what I'm thinking, to a degree. Let me know in the comments below on you're favourite nail polish colour and what you do to feel fabulous, maybe you get your hair done? Or go to the spa? Let me know, so I can try it out as well!
