DRESS ME UP BEFORE DRESSING ME DOWN

Dress: Just You (similar

I don't often post me wearing any "party" dresses because beside the obvious fact they're not very everyday causal or something I've seen any blogger really post about. Which is why I decided to break the rules and make a post on the type of party dresses I tend to go for. It is no secret that black is my all time favourite colour, when it comes to dresses I'm super conscious as to what colour suits my tan complexion, and I find that black tends to not only work perfectly with my light tan but it looks flattering while doing so. Another thing that I always make sure when I'm getting a party dress is that it's elegantly sexy. I think wearing a dress that has certain sheer net parts which show some skin, keeps the dress elegant but sexy, leaving something to the imagination. I also love the look of sequin on dresses, I know that it's not everyones cup of tea since it may be too bold, however I love the look of shinny sequin on dresses; it adds a show stopper effect to the dress. Lastly, when it comes to make up, I keep my liner winged and my lips a blood red which a slightly darker red gloss covering my lips.

I hope you guys liked this post, it was very different to my usual posts but I really wanted to share my love of black sheer dresses with you all!

JULY FAVOURITES

Can you believe that we're more than half way through the year?! This year has flown by, I feel as if it was yesterday that I was sitting down thinking of my new year's resolutions and today I'm sitting here writing about my favourites for my birthday month!

Cateye silver framed sunglasses from Cotton On (similar)
Recently I've been trying to be a bit more daring when it comes to sunglasses rather than just sticking to the safe aviators or clubmasters, that's why when I saw these sunglasses on sale at Cotton On, I knew I had to get them! These sunglasses are perfect to add a chic touch to any outfit, the frame is cat eye at the front and silver metal on the sides which in my opinion make them not only different but also more interesting to look at. These sunglasses will defiantly be my go to during the winter months! (yes it is sunny here even in winter)

It is no secret that I'm a sucker for nail polish, but recently I've been loving the colour black on my nails more than anything! I know that many people have loved the colour black (or noir to be precise) on their nails for years however I used to detest the colour black on my nails until quite recently, in fact it was my mum who actually brought the nail polish in the first place. Regardless of the past, black nail polish is defiantly one of my all times favourites considering it has been the only colour of nail polish I've been wearing for the past three weeks. So if you haven't already, I suggest you give black nail polish a go!

Last year, I had the opportunity to review Karma's lovely bracelet collection. Not only are the bracelets amazing but the people at Karma are so friendly and helpful, which just makes the whole experience of receiving the bracelets even better. Lately I've been loving this silver alpha bracelet by them, not only does the bracelet have a great meaning behind it; the marking of new beginnings and that every ending is the marking of a new beginning. But they look great with any outfit and give a little confidence boast when your wearing them! If your looking for a new bracelet to wear on everyday bases/a form of stack bracelets, I highly recommend Karma!

Give me a red lip and thick eyelashes and I'm a happy girl, and Rimmel seems to be taking care of one of these things. This mascara is so volumizing that it's unbelievable! I brought this mascara a little while back and I used to apply it directly which cause my eye lashes to clump together and at that point I regretted purchase of this mascara. However I was looking through my mascara collection the other day and I rediscovered this one, instead of putting the mascara on directly, I would get rid of some of it on a tissue by doing a 360 with the wand in the tissue and then applying it. The results I got with the this were amazing! My lashes look so much more ticker and there are zero clumps present.

I think spraying the right perfume for the right occasion is so important as it adds both confidence and a excitement filled aura around you. I got this little Estee Lauder perfume gifted to me, along with other goods from there, a while back and I have to say I am very impressed with the scent of Modern Muse. The perfume is, as the name suggests, quite modern with a hint of flowers just to add a slight feminine feel to it. If your looking for light scented perfume, I would defiantly suggest this one!

Hope you all have a lovely month.

STREET TOURS

Last week I had the opportunity to head to Melbourne city (aka my favourite place in Australia) and do a bit of shopping from the end of financial year sales. I was able to grab a new pair of boots as well as get a new bag from Rubi, which you can see me wearing in this outfit! For a very long time, I had been on the search for a blue toned mini bag with silver hardware and after I found out that Rebecca Minkoff has all their blue bags sold out, I was left heartbroken. Luckily I was able to find this adorable bag in the sales! Let me know what your favourite colour is for a everyday mini bag!

Hope you all have a lovely week.

70's CHARM // FRONT BUTTON UP A-LINE SKIRT

One of my favourite trends of the year, so far, has defiantly been button front a-line skirts! They're just so chic and add a 70s look to any outfit. The brownish and white ones are two of my favourite colours in them, hopefully I'm able to get my hands on a pair very soon!

Let me know in the comments below on your thoughts on button front a-line skirts!
