ARE WE NOTICING A TREND HERE?

ARE WE NOTICING A TREND HERE?

Creamy, pale colours are something that I'm absolutely loving at the moment! I find that ivory-like colours can work both, during winter and summer, very easily. Since we're all scattered all around the globe and all our weather's are different, I decided to make a post on something everyone can relate to hence the cream colours.

Ivory is one of the very few colours that gives elegance off without even trying, much like Victoria Beckham, and it looks amazing on almost any skin tone! I usually pair my ivory colours with much darker colours like navy or wine red, which helps bring the lightness and neatness of the colour, ivory, out. Ivory is one of those colours that makes you look like a goddess, no joke!

Let me know in the comments below if you've ever worn ivory and whether you like it or not!

You can shop some of my favourite ivory/cream/beige pieces here:

OCTOBER FAVS

OCTOBER FAVS

I know a lot of people have said this already, but I'm going to say it anyway; I can't believe it's October already! The year has gone by so quickly and we're at the part of the year where I just want the year to hurry up and end. I decided to make a post about the things I've loved this month.

Lately I've been wearing my light blue jeans from ZARA so often, that it feels as if I'm living in them! They're extremely comfortable and look very flattering when worn, which is why I simply had to include them in my October favourites list!

Booties. We all love them, but instead of going all safe and black I've found myself wearing a pair of soft brown booties instead. I find they look amazing with an all denim outfit and they work with almost anything you wear; whether it's black, white or blue, brown booties are the perfect shoes to wear when tying your outfit together.

I've been carrying my Colette Hayman or Longchamp backpack the most these days and I wanted to include them both in October favourites, but that would be against the rules (yes, there are rules to doing favs), which is why I decided to make Colette Hayman bag as my October favourite and leave Longchamp for another time. A lot of people mistake this bag for the Alexander Wang Rocco because of how similar they both look, and the quality of this bag is amazing! Not only does it look good, but it is easy to carry and very roomy, which means you can fit heaps of you belongings in it very easily.

If you've been keeping up with my posts, you would have seen this one coming. Round framed glasses. They are my absolute favourite at the moment because I love the old school look they give and they tend to add a very classic look to an outfit. I also find that they go with almost everything and aren't as boring as your typical aviators or clubmasters, which almost everyone wears now days. They're defiantly a must have for every fashionista!

Instead of including beauty, I decided to include lifestyle as one of the categories since I haven't had much of a beauty find this month (unless you include coconut face mask as a beauty find). Now days, I found myself reading so many of Rainbow Rowell's books that it's ridiculous! I've brought every single book she's ever written and whenever I finish one, I find myself sitting there crying because the book was so good and more so because it's over. Fangirl, which I mentioned in my haul video and this blogpost, was the first (and best) book I brought, which was by her. Rowell is an amazing author and I would recommend her books to every single one of you, you can find all her books here, on her official website.

Make sure to tell me in the comments below what some of your October favourites are and which ones of mine you totally agree with and which ones you don't!

THE ROYAL MELBOURNE SHOW

Every year everyone looks forward to one show the most; The Royal Melbourne Show. For those of you who have no idea what it is, it's basically a festival in which you go around with your family and friends and visit stalls, go on rides, eat lots of junk food and most importantly, buy heaps of showbags!

We went to numerous stalls, where we played heaps of mini games; like getting the ball into the clowns mouth and scoring a six or getting the ball into the bucket for a prize! After we had some delicious food at Country Women's Association, we headed off to look at some home interior designs. There were some beautiful beds and fragrances there, and I was able to get a lot of inspiration for my own bedroom! I also brought a Girlfriend showbag, which had Girlfriend magazines, a cute beanie, nail polish and lots of other girly things. The  Model&Co also had a very good showbag which had lots of cosmetics but I sadly didn't end up purchasing that since it was time to leave.

The last place we went to was 'Hollywood Horrors' and it is safe to say that I'm never doing it again! It was one of the scariest experiences of my life, with people dressed as mummies, and ghosts, coming out of every corner and having walking through dead bodies, Hollywood Horrors defiantly did a good job of scaring the life out of me! It is something you should defiantly check out, you won't be disappointed!

It started pouring rain once we got to our car (which wasn't undercover, sadly) and it was safe it to say that we were all glad to be heading home.

This pretty much sums up my time at the Royal Melbourne Show pretty well, let me know in the comments below if you've ever been to the Royal Melbourne Show or if you have something similar to it where you live!

GLASSES GLOOM

Recently my brother got glasses and since then he has been complaining about how much he hates the way he looks in them (he really is blind, because he looks good) and how they don't work with what he wears. Yes, even my brother thinks before he wears; style runs in the family. This got me thinking whether girls who wear glasses have the same dilemma, do they decide on an outfit based on their glasses? Which is why I decided to do a post especially dedicated to all the beautiful girls out there who have to hide their eyes behind specs, you're beautiful with or without them and I want you to always remember that!

I hope that these outfits inspire you to mix and match with your closet and you won't have to worry about basing your whole outfit on your glasses. Of course these outfits can be worn even if you don't have glasses, so don't worry non-spec-holders, I've got you covered!

Let me know in the comments below whether you have glasses or if you know someone who also picks their outfit simply based on their glasses!

MY READING LIST

Reading has always been one of my favourite things to do. Whether I'm feeling sad, happy or excited, I always resort to reading as my way of coping with my emotions and stress. Reading is one of those things that takes you to another place, whenever I read a book I always, always, picture of one the characters as myself; this is usually the character I can relate to most. So I decided that this week I will share my some of favourite books with you guys.

Once and Then are two separate books, there are four books in the Once series and this book contained two of the books from the series (the first two). The Once series starts of with a Jewish boy, known as Felix, living in the hope of findings his parents during the Holocaust. Along his way he meets a little girl named Zelda, whose dead parents were Nazi's, and the two begin their quest of survival. I honestly loved, no love, this book so much because it makes you realise how real The Holocaust really was the how cruel people became. Felix's courage and kindness also shows you how no matter what, good always concurs evil, and the Once series is a prime example of this.

This book at an interesting concept and an even more interesting way of displaying the concept. I don't want to give much away but basically it's about a girl who wants her future to be perfect, a boy whose in love with her and doesn't know it, Facebook and of course love. The Future of Us is defiantly a must read for all teenagers because of it's original plot and mind-blowing idea!

I still haven't finished Fangirl so in a sense it doesn't make much sense for me to review it, however I've read quite a bit of it and it's safe to say I'm addicted. Fangirl is literally what the title says it is, it's about a fangirl's life. Cath, our main character, is a fangirl who writes fanfiction about 'Simon Snow' (a children's book series) and gets thousands of hits on her story daily. Cath also suffers from social anxiety, which makes it difficult for her to open up to new people. She also has a identical twin, known as Wren, who more out-going and has a louder personality. Cath is very attached to Wren, but once the girls enter collage, everything changes. Wren says she wants her own identity and thinks it's time Cath starts meeting new people. Cath meets her strange roommate, Reagan, and her even stranger friend Levi. Fangirl is a story that every girl can relate to, because let's face it; we've all been a fangirl at least once in our lifetimes.

Most people are sitting there thinking, this isn't the first book of the series nor is it the last, then why on earth does she have it in her reading list without the others? Well honestly speaking, I didn't like the first book in The Mortal Instruments series, which was City of Bones, I found the book was boring and was taking far too long to progress. However that wasn't the case for the next couple of books, the story really kicked up in the third book; City of Glass, and from that moment on I fell in love with the The Mortal Instruments series. I know that the first two books may seem boring but their important for you to understand Jace and Clary's relationship and to understand the Shadowhunter world. City of Lost Souls was my favourite book from the series, which is way I decided to include it, I love the ending and I cannot wait to read the next, and final, book of The Moral Instruments.

One of the best and most realistic books I've ever read. I found that I could connect so much to this book, I could connect to Mile's search for The Great Perhaps, I could connect to Alaska's need to prove herself, I could connect Colonel's way of being the mastermind behind a prank. The characters in Looking for Alaska were very realistic which made them better rather than boring, it made you realise that you could be in their position, or maybe you have been in their position. I would recommend Looking for Alaska not only for teenagers, but also adults, so that they can see how things have changed since they were growing up and what things have remained that same. It's one of those books that even when you're finished, you're still haunted by.

So those were some (barely any) of my favourite books! Make sure to tell me in the comments below what your favourite book is and why, I'd love to check them out.
