CHRISTMAS COSTUME: WHAT TO WEAR

Recently I had a Christmas gathering at my place and as hostess I had to dress up to get everyone into the festive sprit! Because of the fact it's summer in Australia all I could manage was a Christmas tee with a plain skirt but it's thought that counts. This outfit is simple and super easy and gets the festive spirit going. If we lived in an ideal world then I would have paired the top with a deep red mini skirt but unfortunately I could not find a skirt like that at the shops or in my collection so I simply have to make do with what I had available. Make sure to add a red lip to get the festiveness going!

REVIEW ON ELECTRIC PALETTE

 

Christmas is a time of giving and spending time with your loved ones, but a big part of giving is trying to get the present right! I brought this palette from Urban Decay a little while back (here is a first impressions/review on my YouTube channel) and I'm so glad that I did! This palette has a range of vibrant colours and is a perfect Christmas gift since you can create Christmas look using this palette as well as create a great look for the New Years! The pigment in this palette is amazing, defiantly one of the best pigmentation palettes out there. The packaging is also so pretty, it's travel friendly and I have to admit the Urban Decay team has done a great job designing the cover that represents the colours inside. If your looking for a gift for you beauty-holic friend, daughter/son, or a loved one, this is your go to this Christmas!

CHRISTMAS PARTY MENU

Recently (yesterday, actually) I had a Christmas gathering at my place with my friends and a Christmas gathering means loads of Christmas table wear shopping and creating the perfect menu! The menu I created was a hit with my friends, everyone had something they liked and every single person went back for seconds and even thirds! 

So I decided to share the menu I created with you guys

I served everything, including the starters and mains, together but if I were to serve it seperatly this is how I would go about it

Starters:

Crispy Potatoes with avocado and tomato sauce dip of top (link to dish)

Mains:

Vegetarian lasagna with mozzarella cheese on top (link to dish) 

Garlic bread (link to dish) 

Salad (I used four leaves for this; rocket, lettuce, baby spinach and mizuna. I then included some cucumber in this and left some fresh salt and pepper next to the bowl so that my guests could put in as much as they desire. You could have also added some pear or apple for a slight sweetness to the dish!) 

Desert:

Blueberry muffins (link to muffins)

Fruit mince pies (link to fruit pies)

Blueberry/or apple pie (link to pie)

Personally, I find guys are so much more difficult to buy gifts for than girls! Maybe it's because I'm a girl so I can somewhat guess what another girl will like which is why when it comes to guy gifting I go completely blank. The best time of the year is here (upcoming poet guys) thus I decided I will be posting every single till Christmas with Christmas related blogposts! So let's start of with Christmas gift ideas for her, these range from cheap as $20 to expensive as $1200, I wanted to cover all bases since we tend to be on a budget when buying for co-workers and go a bit more hardcore when it comes to our loved ones thus the massive price range.
